Become A Member AMERICAN This style brings us back to a simpler time in American when things were less-stressful. The use of the 5 pointed star is a trademark of this style and handmade "in America" items, such as painted flags, quilts, crafts and grape vine wreaths are displayed. Window treatments are usually calico or gingham tab-topped or shirred curtains. Braided or hooked rugs are used on the wooden floors. SWEDISH The long and dark winters of Scandinavia have created a design style that brings light and life to an otherwise harsh environment. The checkered fabrics and the whitewashed, folk art painted furniture (which given families something to do during the winters) brings cheerfulness. The wall colors are a very pale gray, yellow or blue. The lighter colors are necessary for the for the dark days. The summers are beautiful and relaxing and the snow covered mountains give a beautiful view of this vast area.
ENGLISH
This style brings the English garden into your home. A relaxing and natural style with plants and flowers throughout the home. Painted and distressed furniture and floral, plaid and stripped fabrics bring the garden inside. Tassels, fringe and chintz are a large part of this style and give it a feminine air and softness. FRENCH This style originates from the sunny rural hillside homes, chateaus and farmhouses to create a warm and rustic feeling. The carved wood, stone floors and rush seats are natural materials and a fireplace is the heart of the Country home. The ceilings are heavily timbered and walls roughly plastered. The floors are stone, clay tile or brick .
